Welcome.....and the beauty beneath the blog title.

Think of a time in your life where you felt like you were going against the flow.   Headed in one direction while most others seem to be headed the opposite way.

I usually live here by choice.
And most of the time I love it.

I do not claim to be perfect or have it all figured out.
It’s not always easy or popular.

Its normally a far cry from comfortable.

I was a stay at home wife  for a very sweet season of life and we aren’t talking about the Real Housewives of Orange County.

My husband and I decided we’d  rather adopt*  our kiddos than go about it the “old fashioned way”.  (not that we don’t….ya know, there’s plenty of that.  Yes, I just said that in my intro post.)

I am that  Mom who “feeds her family healthy stuff” and who’s 4 year old proudly told her teacher her favorite food is quinoa.

I am married to a Pastor (enough said).

That is only a glimpse of my life in reverse .Not reverse in a taking steps back sense, but reverse in a counter cultural sort of way.  I am learning I wouldn’t have it any other way because living a life in “reverse” has brought about a level of purpose, passion, joy, and meaning for myself and my family in so many ways.

Join me, as I blog about living my very real life in reverse.  I hope you are inspired and pleasantly surprised.  Or, as Dr. Seuss so plainly states “You’ve got brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

What area of your life do you feel like you are driving in a “reverse” counter cultural sort of way?  Drop a comment below.  I’d love to hear from you!

  1. I can remember a time when I was literally headed against the crowd: it was a Friday night and everyone who lived in the dorms was headed down the hill dressed for a night at bars or house parties, and I was heading towards the dorms, away from the hill, carrying a board game under my arm! That experience always felt like a Romans 12:2 moment when I was literally not conforming to the pattern of the world! I love the blog title and look forward to reading your thoughts! Laura Lundgren
